I have Designed hundreds of Custom Safety programs for clients all over the United States to follow all State and Federal Guidelines specific to their industry and site specific needs.
I have worked with clients from office personnel to hazardous waste handlers, manufactures, fabricators, production, distribution centers, occupational clinics, and medical facilities just to name a few. I have built over 30 safety teams that now maintain their company’s safety policies. I have gone to battle for over 19 clients to fight OSHA fines with injuries, including fatality involved cases. I have successfully negotiated with OSHA to get fines lowered for my clients exceeding 2.7 Million since 2010. Not only was I able to get such huge fine reduction, but I was able to get most "Serious" and or "Willful" violations dropped to "Generals'. This has allowed me the opportunity to build great relationships with OSHA inspectors, enforcement, high hazard, investigators, district managers and district judges. This becomes very beneficial during all processes regarding fines or potential fines.
Throughout the years I have developed strategic partnerships with companies ranging from Fire Protection Services, Security (guards), PPE Sales, Risk Management, Undercover Investigations, Back ground checks, Drug testing. I work with worker’s comp brokers to help lower their client’s mod rates and keep them in compliance. I belong to various Chambers of Commerce, security and safety committees, ambassadors committee, BEPN and Cert programs.
A+ Safety has been in business for over 15 years. Between the family members we have over 45 years experience in every aspect of Safety. From CPR/First Aid to Hazards waste. All of our training is guided by OSHA standards, NASP (National Association of Safety) American Heart and American Safety & Health Institute. We cover all aspects and all OSHA required programs and training under Federal, Cal-OSHA and all other state ran OSHA division standards.
On Personal Note
Just a little about me.. I love my job and not many people can say that but I'm very proud to say and share that. My favorite training is CPR /FA/AED. This class allows me to make a huge difference in people’s lives, not just at the work place but in their everyday family life. I have had several past students tell me stories of how they used what I taught them to help save a family member, now we have heard of 11 employees saving their co-workers due to our training. Every time I hear one of these stories, it brings tears to my eyes and reminds me what a special job I do have. And how important it really is. Teaching people to save a life hits home in a huge way with me. Just over 8 years ago I was resuscitated. If it would not have been for the people that helped me, I would not be here today. So I feel there is a reason, well many reasons, why I’m here. One being to teach and help save lives. The fact past students have contacted me and informed me that what I taught them made an impact on their lives. They were able to help someone. But don't take me wrong, I love all the classes and subjects I teach. Training people is the best and most rewarding job anyone could ever have. I’m a lucky man to have this ability to make differences in people's lives every day I go to work.
My family is the most important thing in my life. I have the best wife a man could wish to have along with 3 great boys, a beautiful daughter and precious grand-daughter. My wife and oldest son train right along side of me. Our daughter has chosen pharmacy as a career path and our middle son is in college looking forward to many years of school.(Pre-Med). We refer to our youngest as a "Junior Trainer" and hope when it's his turn, he will join us in the family business.
We spend allot of time with our three dogs. They are a huge part of our family. I love to bowl, ride my bike, play with my radio controlled toys with the boys and I'll chase the dogs every now and then. Keeping up with my grand-daughter is my cardio. But there is nothing more important to me than sitting down every night as a family and having our dinner. Talking, laughing and sharing the day and our feelings. The dinner table is complete when my daughter and her family make it. Then comes the best of all, I cuddle up on the couch with my treasure of a wife and enjoy some movies, or just TV with the kids, the dogs and each other.
I recently had the opportunity while celebrating my wonderful wife's Birthday in Big Bear to do a childhood dream and ride a horse. All my life I have been a hardcore horse power type of person, and to this day I enjoy extreme horse power in my toys, but what a feeling to ride a amazing horse in the mountains in Big Bear for the first time since my childhood. Who would have thought 1 horse power would be so incredible.
There is nothing like a ride on a custom cruiser in the mountains. Love going up Azusa Cyn. up to Crystal Lake and the beautiful streams, mountains and clean air. Riding a motorcycle is the definition of freedom. This is where I get my peace of mind, and can enjoy what mother nature has been so kind provide for our enjoyment. And if the weather won't allow the bike ride, then there is nothing like pure muscle car pleasure in those mountains for me !
Life is good
Just keep a positive attitude
And always have forward momentum
